James Mckay is Ojibway from Batchewana First Nation a Northern Ontario community near Sault Ste. Marie close to the US and Canadian boarder. I started my career working in the Environmental Engineering field then moved into Information Technology and I am now working in Canada’s Financial Sector. For the past decade I have helped craft and lead Indigenous Talent Acquisition strategies as well as Pan Diversity Strategies for some of the largest enterprises in Canada. Today I have a dual reporting role into both the Offices of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Talent Acquisition for BMO Bank of Montreal. I am a proud husband and father as well as coach of my daughters T-Ball Tuesday baseball team.
