Phil created CHOICES, a computerized career exploration system adopted by most Canadian secondary and postsecondary schools and employment centers. He has led projects, including Canada Prospects, The Real Game Series, Canada WorkinfoNET, and the Blueprint for Lifework Designs, that have benefited millions globally. As a board member of the International Association of Educational and Vocational Guidance, the National Career Development Association, the Association of Career and Technical Education, the Canadian Career Information Partnership, the Canadian Council for Career Development, and more he has influenced the evolution of career development. He has delivered innumerable presentations and written over 100 articles, book chapters, and how-to guides for career professionals. He has been on 80+ World Bank and CIDA missions to assist countries in creating career infrastructure. Phil believes helping youth find their WHY (purpose) and, through personalized, collaborative, real-world, experiential learning, acquire the skills they need for lifelong success is job 1 for education!
