Audrey Murray has been President of the Quebec labour market partnership commission (CPMT or Commission des partenaires du marché du travail), since June 11, 2018. The CPMT is a unique consultation forum that brings together Quebec’s main labour market stakeholders and boasts a network of over 700 partners throughout the province, the various labour force sectors, and underrepresented labour market groups. Their shared goal is to work towards matching training with skills and jobs, and to foster prosperity in the province. Together they advise the Government of Quebec on ways to enhance the labour market and work to support many initiatives designed with that in mind.
Prior to joining the CPMT, Ms. Murray was Vice-President, Client Services and Development, with the Quebec construction commission (Commission de la Construction du Québec). There she was responsible, among other things, for implementing policies aimed at integrating women, First Nations, and immigrants into the construction industry workforce. She was also a member of the Quebec council on the status of women (Conseil du statut de la femme) and sat on the Quebec Press Council board of directors. Finally, she has held a number of positions as a lawyer/researcher in human rights and administrative law.Back
