Il a \u00e9galement occup\u00e9 le poste de directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la Direction de la collecte et des services r\u00e9gionaux, ainsi que celui de directeur responsable de l&#8217;Enqu\u00eate sur la population active mensuelle et de diverses enqu\u00eates sp\u00e9ciales.<\/p>\n<p>Geoff a r\u00e9cemment termin\u00e9 de diriger deux groupes de travail des Nations Unies ax\u00e9s sur la r\u00e9vision des manuels internationaux en pr\u00e9paration du prochain cycle mondial de recensements de la population et du logement. Geoff est actuellement le repr\u00e9sentant de Statistique Canada au sein du conseil ex\u00e9cutif du Groupe de haut niveau pour la modernisation des statistiques officielles des Nations Unies. Il si\u00e8ge \u00e9galement au conseil du recensement de la population de l&#8217;Australie et est membre du Forum international sur les recensements.<\/p>\n<p>En dehors du travail, Geoff est actif au sein de sa famille. Pendant des ann\u00e9es, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 l&#8217;entra\u00eeneur de l&#8217;\u00e9quipe de hockey de son fils et, avec sa conjointe depuis 30 ans, il a assist\u00e9 aux comp\u00e9titions de patinage artistique pour encourager leurs deux filles. Bien que ses enfants soient maintenant adultes, Geoff continue de faire du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat dans sa communaut\u00e9 natale de Kemptville, en Ontario, o\u00f9 il est membre du conseil d&#8217;administration de la Fondation de l&#8217;h\u00f4pital local, qui a r\u00e9cemment termin\u00e9 une campagne de financement pour doter la communaut\u00e9 de son tout premier tomodensitom\u00e8tre.<\/p>\n<p>Geoff est titulaire d&#8217;un baccalaur\u00e9at en \u00e9conomie du Coll\u00e8ge Glendon de l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 York et d&#8217;une ma\u00eetrise en \u00e9conomie de l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 de Waterloo.
