Public Opinion Research

In total, we surveyed more than 20,000 individuals and organizations from 10 user groups. We share these findings through LMI Insight Reports, blogs and interactive dashboards.

Why we're doing this project

We want to ensure that Canadians have the data and insights they need to make informed decisions regarding their education plans, careers, organizations and lives. One of our first activities was to discover what types of information are most meaningful to Canadians when making these tough decisions.

What the project is about

In 2018, LMIC launched a major public opinion research project to better understand the diverse labour market information needs of Canadians. We surveyed over 20,000 individuals and organizations to better understand what information they use to make their education, workplace and career decisions. Since then, we have continued to analyze and publish these findings through Insight Reportsblogs and interactive dashboards.

The Population Groups Dashboard summarizes the responses of over 16,000 individuals in Canada.

The Employer Dashboard summarizes the responses of nearly 3,000 Canadian employers.
