About Suzanne
Suzanne has worked at the Government of Alberta for 18 years and has worked in several different departments including Labour and Immigration, Justice and Solicitor General, Health and Executive Council. While she has worked in policy and front line operations, Suzanne’s background as a lawyer has given her the opportunity to focus a large part of her career on the development of legislation.
Over the last number of years, reflecting the importance of public service both at work and outside of work, Suzanne has volunteered with a number of organizations most recently serving as a board member for Wings; a second stage housing provider supporting women with children who have experienced family violence.
Suzanne is currently the Assistant Deputy Minister of Labour and Workforce Strategies, Jobs, Economy and Northern Development. She is committed to her role as part of the larger effort in ensuring fair and safe workplaces across Alberta and continuing to build a skilled successful workforce. She looks forward to doing this important work in collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders in Alberta and across Canada.
