Mr. Mallett, Director, Economic Forecasting for the Conference Board of Canada, is one of the country’s leading experts on the confluence of economics and entrepreneurship. He has deep experience on using independently sourced data for developing and tracking labour-related indicators, including business sentiment, hiring expectations and job vacancies. Before joining the Conference Board, Ted was VP and Chief Economist with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.
Mr. Mallett is an author and speaker on topics covering economic outlooks, local economic development, taxation, government fiscal conditions, demographics, technology and market research. He is a past member of the Minister of Finance’s Private Sector Economist panel and has written on a wide range of public policy and economic issues, including tax policy, local government, the environment, international trade, banking, telecommunications, the workplace and entrepreneurship.
