Guest Blog Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in contributing to LMIC’s blog!

We welcome guest submissions that inform, inspire, and spark thoughtful conversations about labour market information in Canada. We value a wide range of perspectives and experiences that help illuminate the opportunities and trends shaping the world of work.

To help ensure alignment, please review the following criteria.

What we're looking for

Relevant and timely topics

Your post should align with our key areas of focus, such as:

Data, methods and evidence: Reflections on how labour market information is produced, shared, or used across different contexts, with space to explore what’s working well and where there may be room to grow.

Career information and decision-making: Thoughts on the tools, services, and information that support individuals in making education, training, and employment choices—considering both current approaches and emerging possibilities.

The evolving world of work: Explorations of the social, economic, and technological factors shaping work, skills, and workforce participation.

Mapping pathways and possibilities: Stories or insights related to the diverse ways people move through education, training, and work—and how LMI can reflect and support those journeys.

Clear and engaging writing

We aim for an informative yet accessible tone. Avoid jargon where possible and write as if speaking to an engaged, curious reader—not just experts.

Original content

Submissions must be original (i.e., not previously published elsewhere). If your post builds on prior work or includes references, please include proper attribution.
