Public Opinion Research
In 2018, LMIC launched a major public opinion research project to better understand the diverse labour market information needs of Canadians. We surveyed over 20,000 individuals and organizations to better understand what information they use to make their education, workplace and career decisions.
We want to ensure that Canadians have the data and insights they need to make informed decisions regarding their education plans, careers, organizations and lives. One of our first activities was to discover what types of information are most meaningful to Canadians when making these tough decisions.
Survey results by population group
The Population Groups Dashboard summarizes the responses of over 20,000 individuals in Canada about their sources, needs, uses and challenges when finding and using labour market information. It is the first interactive tool resulting from LMIC’s public opinion research.
