LMIC Launches the Canadian Job Trends Dashboard

Explore labour market information based on trends found in online job postings from across Canada: our Canadian Online Job Posting Dashboard is now the Canadian Job Trends Dashboard, with a new user-friendly design and more timely data.

The information found in online job postings can help track trends in occupational demand and work requirements such as skills, knowledge and tools and technology.

LMIC’s redesigned dashboard is built on the LMIC Data Hub, allowing the dashboard to share timely, granular LMI that can help all people in Canada succeed in the labour market.

Based on data collected from thousands of Canadian websites and job boards by Vicinity Jobs, the information in the dashboard is updated weekly.

The dashboard offers a view of what Canadian employers are looking for in potential new hires. Users can explore the type and frequency of occupations and work requirements within any period (starting in January 2018), geographic region, and National Occupational Classification code.

Visit the dashboard to explore job trends data, or read our dashboard overview and frequently asked questions for more information.

The Canadian Job Trends Dashboard allows users to explore labour market information based on trends found in online job postings from across Canada.

LMIC’s acting director of research Anthony Mantione and economist Graham Dobbs share examples of how you can use the new Canadian Job Trends Dashboard to explore emerging labour market trends.
